Thank you for all your encouragement, ideas, and continued support throughout the length of this campaign. While the outcome is not the one we had hoped and worked for, knowing that we ran a great campaign centered around a positive vision for Portland brings me the greatest satisfaction.

The city is richer for all that we contributed.

I want to congratulate Michael Brennan on his victory. We now have a popularly elected mayor for the first time in nearly 90 years and I know Michael will make a fantastic leader for our city by setting the course for this new position, rooted in his dedication to our community. I look forward to working with Michael and supporting him in this new role so that Portland can continue to be the place of which we are all so proud.
